I have long believed in, and through the years have spoken and taught many times about, the truths and promises concerning planting and harvesting in God's Kingdom. It pertains to spiritual sowing and reaping, based on the promises and principles found in Scripture passages such as Psalm 126:6, 2 Corinthians 9:6, and several others.
As a result, "Sowing Seeds" became a heartfelt Christian song I wrote around 2018 that encourages believers to live purposefully and faithfully by prayerfully and lovingly planting seeds — through continually scattering and sharing Kingdom-based words and deeds everywhere we go — that will assuredly one day be followed by a God-promised harvest of fruit and redeemed lives for Him and His glory. If we by faith and obedience sow such lasting seeds wherever God leads us, then we're promised a harvest and rewards from Him for doing so. With a message centered on faith, perseverance, and the promise of a coming harvest, this song reminds us that no act of obedience done for God, as provided by His Spirit, is ever in any way wasted.
